- ATTIKO ZOOLOGICAL PARK
Attiko Zoological Park is a private zoo that has been operating since 2000 in Spata. The park was founded as an ornithological park with 1.100 birds of 300 different species and later on animals of the desert, savannah, Greek fauna, reptiles etc. were added. Rare species of animals are hosted, such as Sumatran tigers, Angolan lions, cougars, Persian leopards, Macaw parrots, zebras, giraffes, Bactrian camels, African penguins, canines, exotic and rare birds, Indian elephants, white rhinos, Arabian oryxes, many lizards, snakes and crocodiles, etc. ά. The Australian fauna area is home to 3 species of Oceania animals (Bennett's Wallaby, Emu and Goose Kereopsis). The Parrots and the World of the Lory area is home to 23 species of parrots. It is currently home to around 2,000 animals from 290 different species and is open 365 days a year.
